DIY Project : Growth Chart by Riley

Blue Painters Tape

Black Acrylic Paint (Apple Barrel 20504 Black)
Green Acrylic Paint (Apple Barrel 20528 Leaf Green)
Light Green Acrylic Paint (Apple Barrel 21342 Catepillar)
Dark Green Acrylic Paint (Apple Barrel 20756 English Ivy Green)

Step 1: Measure where the inches are going to be with a pencil. Decide how thick you want your lines to be and make the center of those lines the center of the ticks. For every foot make the tick almost twice as long.  Blue Painters Tape around it.

 Step 2: Black Paint.  Remove Blue Tape.  Eat Chips and Guacamole.

 Step 3: Add the Numbers.  We printed off the numbers off the computer and then traced them in pencil on the wood.  Then very carefully filled in the traces with painting in the black paint.

Step 4: Draw your leaves, branches, vines, tree, etc. design in pencil.

Step 5: Start painting green leaves.  Easiest to do one color at a time and then let dry for at least an hour before next color.

 Step 6: Start painting vines and swirls of vines very carefully in dark green.

 Step 7: Paint light green vines and vine swirls.

 Step 8: Erase all extra pencil lines real good with a good eraser.

Last Step: Coat entire board with clear coating.
